I went for a hike in the forest today and found what I think is a Rambler Six Custom. I can’t pinpoint the year, but I am guessing 1960. Can anyone confirm?

There’s even still some fuel left.

How did it even get there?? So intriguing...

Awesome! How did you pinpoint it?

Stolen and abandoned, probably. The mismatched front fender likely means it was a somewhat older used car by the time that happened - not worth enough for a full repair with paint.

1959 judging by the grille.

So not a ‘58 then?

The’58 Hardtop station wagon is the only station wagon I’ve ever listed after.

This whole rust=tetanus thing is just a myth: Tetanus is caused by the Clostridium tetani bacterium . Clostridium tetani spores are able to survive for a long time outside of the body. They are most commonly found in animal manure and contaminated soil, but may exist virtually anywhere.
